ProjectMailArtBooks JUNIOR
December 18th, 2011 I started this new project.
Because of a tour which schoolkids of Stichting Praktijkonderwijs "De Zonnegaard", Wijchen had at the exhibition "ProjectMailArtBooks at KunstPost, Wijchen" and the fact that one of the scholars (Julian) wanted to participate in ProjectMailArtBooks, i came up with the idea of ProjectMailArtBooks JUNIOR. Mentioning it on Facebook made sure it got around in the circle of participants.
A little over a week later the PMAB JUNIOR Project is a fact. Facebook has got another ProjectMailArtBooksgroup and this page on this website.
Who can participate in ProjectMailArtBooks Junior?
Participants/teachers in ProjectMailArtBooks who want to make booklets with schoolkids can participate.
Do the schoolkids receive a returnbooklet?
The schoolkids receive a returnbooklet made by the participant. The participants/teachers will send their returnbooklets by post, just as in ProjectMailArtBooks.
Who takes up contact with the schools?
The participants/teachers who take part in this project make contact with the schools and arrange everything, but still make sure that it's a ProjectMailArtBooks-project.
What schools can do.
Schools can participate too. They can email me and i will make sure that word gets around on the Facebookgroup. One of the participants will take up contact with the school and will make all the necessary preparations.
What happens after the participants have made the booklets with the schoolkids?
As mentioned before, the participants/teachers will make a returnbooklet for the schoolkids and send it to them by mail.
Just like the PMAB for artists, i would like to make an exhibition of the booklets made by the schoolkids. This depends on how many schoolkids take part in the project.
In order to prepare an exhibition of these booklets it's probably best, the participants will saveguard the booklets.
Can we see photos of the JUNIOR-project?
The photos of the schoolkidsbooklets and the returnbooklets by the participants/teachers will be on the PMAB website of course.
